Memorial Weekend

Let's back up and talk about what we did last weekend.  It was a fun one!

Friday afternoon, we drove to TN to visit with the McCoys.  We got there just in time to eat some dinner, get in the hot tub, and make S'mores over the fire pit (my fave!) We got up bright and early Saturday morning to head to the farm and do some four-wheeler riding.  We explored lots of fun trails and even crossed over a stream.

It was pretty cool until the boys started suffering pretty bad from allergies.  Then it was time to pack up and go home!  But of course not until after Matt made me take photos on the tractor...

Back at the house was lots of hide-and-seek, building tents, and playing cooking man with this little guy.  The pic below is us hiding under the chair in a round of hide-and-seek.  I don't have any pics of baby Dylan from the weekend, but I will recap his existence by telling you that we listened to the sound of the vacuum cleaner running for much of this weekend.  The little babe cries from about 5-9 and the only thing that will get him to stop is hear the vacuum cleaner.  Have you heard of such a thing?  So you get to choose what is more pleasant of the two: a baby crying at the top of its lungs or a loud vacuum cleaner.  This is not a win/win folks!  At least he is cute, so we'll give him a pass on this little habit.  But auntie sure can't wait till he outgrows this stage and is able to instead join in on some hide-and-seek :)

Umm, you might want to prepare yourself before viewing the below picture.  I am just putting the cuteness warning out there because this is C.U.T.E.  When we were climbing into bed on Saturday night, we heard a little rustling around on the floor.  Matt flipped the light on to find Furgie had climbed into his overnight bag to go to sleep!  Just when I thought she couldn't get any more adorable...

We drove back Sunday night in time to spend Memorial Day out on the lake on Monday.  We visited over at Jeremy and Laura's lake house where we cooled off in the water until it was time for a late lunch and we continued the day at the lake at Rusty Rudder.

Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing Memorial Weekend!
