This past weekend was an absolute blast. One of Matt's best friends from high school, Stone, got married in Richmond to his gorgeous bride, Kristinne. The timing worked out perfectly because my sister, her hubs and my little niece were all visiting my parents' house in NoVa that same week (only a 2-hour drive from Richmond). So we packed up the car early Thursday morning and made the drive towards DC to spend the day with my family.
This was only my second time seeing Sofi since my first trip to see her in Indiana shortly after she was born, and this was Matt's first time meeting her! She has gotten so much bigger! She has so much personality. She's such a good baby, barely ever cries. We spent the whole day pretty much just hanging out with her and soaking up our Sofi time. Miss her already!
Friday morning, we got up and drove to Richmond. Matt was in the wedding, so we had rehearsal festivities to attend all day on Friday. The wedding was at the train station right in downtown Richmond, so we stayed at a hotel right in the middle of the city. We had so much fun reuniting with Matt's old high school friends. They are such a great group of guys and their wives are all absolutely lovely.
The wedding was perfect and Kristinne was a stunning bride. Stone is one lucky guy! Did I mention that Kristinne is Filipino, too?! They make the most adorable couple and we couldn't be more happy for the two of them. Isn't it the greatest when your friends marry awesome people?
The rest of the weekend was full of laughs, dancing (i'll post a video below for evidence), and pure happiness. Congrats Stone and Kristinne on getting hitched!
Dancing at weddings is the best. Teach me how to Dougie... Bailey style:
I have really enjoyed developing my photography hobby over these past few months. I tote my camera around pretty much everywhere we go and I usually come home with a memory card full of photos. My nephew's birthday party this past weekend was no exception.
Kids just having fun being kids are the most fun moments to capture.
